If you have a question you'd like to ask before you buy, it's probably answered here. If your question is not answered here, please ask me.
- Is the "unmetered" account really unlimited bandwidth?
- Yes (and no).
- For the majority of you, yes, use as much space and bandwidth as you want/need.
- File distribution sites (including but not limited to music, video and software) are limited to 25Gb/month for their file distribution.
- You must adhere to my terms and conditions.
- What happens if I exceed my bandwidth?
- For "standard" web hosting accounts, if you exceed the bandwidth allocation, you'll receive an email to let you know and then your account will be deactivated for the remainder of the month.
- I do this to ensure that customers are handled equitably.
- You can monitor how much bandwidth you are using via your control panel and can upgrade to "unmetered" at any time (subject to a pro-rata payment).
- Can you arrange domain names too?
- I can, but it's probably easier for you to do your own (most people like the "ownership").
- I wholeheartedly recommend NameCheap for domain names.
- If you want me to register one for you, I will add a little extra 'admin fee' on top of what you see ad NameCheap's prices and will list you as the owner and me as the administrative contact.
- Can I use your service to host an "adult" site?
- In short, NO (but it depends upon what you mean by "adult").
- I am okay with art, e.g. a photographer or model who has some lingerie or art nude pics in their portfolio, but an appropriate warning should be displayed.
- Anything pornographic is not permitted.
- If in doubt, ask me and I'll brave a look and let you know.
